Come out to the Leesport Playground, behind the Library and Swimming Pool, for a family fun night, featuring hay rides, bonfire, spooky walk, music, petting zoo, hay bale maze and enjoy some great eats at our soup kitchen, hot dogs and other tasty treats. All this at no charge. Free will donations are always appreciated to help cover costs beyond what our generous sponsors provide. Come out and bring someone along! Leesport Area Historical Society invites you to a one woman show challenging us to remember that our cherished freedoms are not guaranteed. We will meet companions like Sojourner Truth, Mark Twain, Elizabeth Cady Stanton as well as new names that are not as familiar. “Fragile Freedoms,” a 1-act show, acted, written & directed by Christine Emmert from the Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site.Please join us on Monday, November 23, at Bethany E.C. Church, 308 Main Street, Leesport. Business meeting is at 7:30 pm and program is at 8:00 pm. The meeting is open to the public. Donations are accepted.
